My dissertation and book project explore the variety of civil war onsets and links them to key wartime dynamics, using quantitative and qualitative comparative research methods. More broadly, my research interests include political violence, civil war, civilian agency and collective action. Prior to my doctoral research, I completed a MSc at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and a BA at the University of Namur, Belgium, both in Political Science.
